The Glenrothes 10 years old is a Single Malt scotch whisky made from a combination of whiskeys carefully chosen to obtain a distillate with the same level of quality as the Glenrothes vintage whiskeys, taking into account that barrels of different years have been chosen.
TASTING NOTE
Pale golden color, bright. On the nose we find a warm aroma of American oak, vanilla and coconut while in the mouth we find an intense malt, the vanilla of the nose and the orange peel. It has a long and slightly spicy finish. It is bitter, toasted and persistent.
ELABORATION
It is bottled at its peak ripeness and flavor, rather than at a predetermined age. The distillation is unusually slow and takes place in tall stills, which provides a sweet and fruity spirit. The maturation is in American oak and Spanish oak barrels that produce a unique Speyside malt, winner of prizes. All Glenrothes malt is Vintage whiskey, which represents a single year or collection of years, they are unique, limited and rare. Each one captures a unique essence and flavor that will never be repeated.
