Nice and bright dark cherry colour with violet edges. Wine with a high robe and elegant dense tears.
Intense wine, with fresh, elegant and very expressive aromas. Its good toasted and smoked notes released along with creamy spicy aromas give way to an explosion of juicy notes of red and black fruit on its important mineral background tinged with the freshness provided by the balsamic notes.
Embracing, silky, fresh and very tasty, meaty wine. It is powerful and warm at the attack and has a long and smooth mid palate. Its expressive notes of fruit, along with the fine toasted creamy touches, spices, good chocolate and elegant minerals form a set of sensations which can hardly be forgotten. Excellent and very nice acidity. Rich tannins that become integrated over the time. Very long and very persistent finish.
Alvaro Palacios installed in the town of Gratallops, with the intention to transmit to his wines the character of the DOQPriorat, full of crisp essences of Mediterranean sunshine, cliffs and shale, fennel and olives, a land of mystical soul.
The cellar Alvaro Palacios has a vineyard of 30 years where they grow old vines of Grenache, under a Mediterranean climate, with many hours of sunshine and little rain, and the proximity of the sea, which gives the cool sea breeze summer necessary for the fruit to ripen retaining all its aromatic potential. Alvaro Palacios also grown Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and some more experimentally.
The Cellar Alvaro Palacios creates a rotund, fresh and mineral wines such as L'Ermita and Finca Dofí, wines whic are recognized worldwide.
