Els Pics is a red wine coupage of Grenache (60%), Carignan (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) and Syrah (10%) from young vineyards planted in soils of different composition and with varied orientations.
TASTING NOTE
Cherry color bright and intense with plenty of tears. On the nose, it is an aromatically intense wine, where the primary aromas are evident from the beginning, accompanied by minerality and compote fruits. Meaty and very sweet wine where we find memories of toasted, licorice and floral notes in the background. The palate is a powerful wine with a broad step and a lot of body. It is a wine that surprises because it is tasty and has a perfect balance between tannins and acidity. The fruit remains the protagonist at all times. Long and persistent finish.
ELABORATION
Fermentation that lasts two weeks in which the temperature is gradually increased. Subsequently, a post-fermentation maceration is carried out.
AGING
Aged for 12 months in tanks first and in new French oak barrels and a year or two later, achieving diversity and complexity.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany grilled meats, stews, sausages, grilled vegetables, various desserts, etc.
