Formiga de Vellut is a red wine blend of Grenache (60%), Carignan (20%) and Syrah (20%).
TASTING NOTE
Red Cherry Color, intense. It has a complex aroma, where red and black fruits stand out, combined with balsamic and spicy notes. In the mouth it is a full and powerful wine, with a fleshy and velvety finish, where ripe and fresh tannins are present.
ELABORATION
Manual selection of each variety of organic grapes. Fermentations of each variety separately, at 22 ° C for 7 days. The maceration is carried out at 28ºC and the pasta is separated from the wine by soft pressing of the marc. Finally, assembling of single-varietal wines, before entering the barrel.
AGING
Aged for 8 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels.
PAIRING
Ideal to accompany rice and pasta, poultry, white and red meats, game, cured meats and cheeses, meat stews, eggs, pates and foie, blue fish and vegetables.
