Font de la Figuera is a red wine coupage of Grenache and Carignan from an state made up of coasts and terraces at an altitude of 400 meters.
TASTING NOTE
Ripe cherry color, bright and with a violet edging that still denotes youth. Clean and good tear formation. On the nose, it has very present notes of wild red fruit and well integrated fine dabs of toasted and smoked. In the mouth, it's fresh, sweet and elegant with a persistent mouth. A properly structured wine.
PREPARATION
The grape is harvested and collected in boxes of 20kg. In the wine cellar, the best grapes are selected on a selection table. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks of 2,500 liters at a controlled temperature and daily 'Pigeage'. Maceration for two weeks. Vertical press with soft pressing.
AGING
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
PAIRING
Perfect to join with typical Catalan dishes, stuffed eggplant and sauteed vegetables.
